Salsa A La Salsa in Minneapolis

Service was good the first night but the food wasn't really good. I have had better burritos in the U.S. and outside U.S. too. Drinks were nice though. The next morning service + food were not so great. But they're in a strategic place and apparently the only Mexican restaurant around there.

Their veggie bean tamales are pretty good. For vegetarians, the flautas de potato are nice but I wish they come with side of rice n beans. Their fried plantains are so good.

Had the beef burrito. Was AWESOME!Chips and salsa wew delicious, too.

Good food, decent prices, has vegetarian options

A quick walk from the Minneapolis convention center. An authentic Mexican restaurant with full menu and reasonable prices. My wife stated the women's restroom was neat and clean. Overall, good food and good service despite how busy they were on a Saturday lunch. I will go again!

It is a nice place and we really enjoyed the food. It would be even better if they made their own tortilla chips. Their margaritas weren't that great either but, still, it is pretty great.

2 nights in a row, love this place, may be moving in the fall, they have another location in South Minneapolis not far from this one.

The food is always excellent the servers are very friendly it’s become our favorite Mexican restaurant The only downside is that they will have to close or move sometime in the future due to large development😢

Food was awesome. I asked chilaquiles with chicken and were delicious also the totopos with the green salsa mmm. The service was great since the beginning asking around is everything was fine.

Took my parents here for a quick Sunday lunch - the place is PACKED on weekends for dinner so I figured we would give it a shot. The service was great, the place was spotless and nicely decorated, and the food was excellent. A few of us got the 'Popular Burrito' in chicken, carnitas, and beef. All of the meat was tender, and juicy and they were very large servings. Nice selection of beer/drinks if you are into that kind of thing, and a very nice menu selection. My parents keep talking about this place and how much they liked the food!

Amazing enchiladas

I was in charge of arranging food for a recent conference. Lorenzo and his staff catered a dinner for 100. The service was attentive and clear. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and flavorful. We received enthusiastic and unanimous praise from the conference attendees. Thanks for making me look so good! It was a pleasure to share Salsa a la Salsa with our visitors from out of town.

This place was the bomb! We came with a group of 25 on a Friday night and they accommodated us all with no problem. The staff was very friendly and very competent, even with a big group like ours. The chips ran out which was extremely disappointing, but the food was phenomenal. I had the burrito with the skull next to it, meaning very spicy, but it wasn't too bad. So don't be intimidated if you like spicy food! Great place, would definitely go again!

Good food. Friendly service. Nothing spectactular, but nothing to complain about. Overall a good experience.

Delicious meal, great drinks. Food was perfectly prepared, and my drink was made well, too. The great food really impressed the people I was with. Try the fried plantains for dessert!

Terrible atmosphere! None of the waiters could speak in communicative English. Took our order after 35 min of arrival after me going to them asking them if they can take our order and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. The most terrible fajitas I’ve ever eaten that I had to actually send them back. This place has bad service, bad food, bad atmosphere. WILL NOT recommend this to anyone.

Pork carnitas were good but not great. Girlfriend was not impressed with their chees enchiladas either. House margarita was good. Waiter was not very tentative but it was not very long before our food was out after he did finally take the order. Expectations were not met based off the reviews.

They told us they would deliver to us, only to find out after 45 minutes that they didn’t deliver even though our party was a 4 minute walk away. The food was mediocre and cold. It was way over priced and when we showed up to pick the food up after we called and was told they aren’t delivering our 100$ meal, they were disrespectful by telling us our food was cold because they were waiting for us.

The food is good but the star of the show is the raspberry cactus sorbet :) its " prickly good" :D

Great food and ambiance. Took about 15 family members there and we had a ball. The sangria is spot on.

Food was very good. I wish the chips would come out warm, and they never refilled them despite us ordering food and drinks.

This place was excellent. I got chicken tacos, guacamole and my girlfriend got the enchiladas. It was all really good. I like the deep booths they had, which was good for a date night because it insulates you from other folks in the bar. There are also normal table options as well. The service was pretty fast and the drink were solid. This is one of the better Mexican food places I've been to in Minneapolis.

Excellent food and atmosphere. The mango margaritas are very tasty and the food was fabulous. The wait staff is attentive.

Absolutely delicious Mexican. The chips and salsa start off a great meal. Then pick anything in the menu. It's all great.

Went here after a long day of traveling and not eating so I was in one of those moods where I was stoked to eat a ton of cheap Mexican food cause I was tired and craving cheesy and high calorie and low quality food. However I was extremely surprised at the HIGH QUALITY of food here. I got the combo that was like 20 dollars and I thought at first like thats a lot but whatever i am super hungry and not in the mood and about to feast. So when the food came out in like 5 minutes I was stoked. The plating was awesome and the food was even better. Fresh ingredients and awesome Mexican flavor. I have eaten a lot of food in Mexico and this was better than it. Best mexican food in town. Trust me I have been to a bunch of them.

It's okay. The people that I went with rave about it as the best Mexican food in a little hole in the wall place. They always go if they are downtown. I don't quite see the same appeal. I've had plenty of quality Mexican food so this just seems like any other. It's good bit not great.

Delicious authentic Mexican food. Not just some taco or chili seasoning from the grocery store. It is actually good and authentic food for a decent price.

This place was one of the BEST Mexican places I've ever eaten at! My grandmother and aunt had the best tamales they've ever had. Very very friendly staff and excellent food!

So so so so good. The salsas are amazing. The tacos were so fresh. We are in town for a volleyball tournament. We highly recommend this restaurant. We will come back again while we are here this weekend.

Great Mexican food! We loved the salsa verde and the guacamole. My taco and tamale were great. We got a pitcher of margaritas and the server was friendly.

Was super excited when I was looking at the menu online to come try a new to me authentic Mexican restaurant but the service sucked, our order took forever, had to ask for an order of drinks and chips multiple times and the drinks came out wrong when we finally got them half an hour later, still waiting on the chips. It wasn't busy, we shouldn't have had the issues we did. Food was alright, service was terrible. Won't be back.

Stupendous service, fantastic food & marvelous margaritas. Our waiter was prompt & attentive throughout our meal. He made sure to point out the two for one special on margaritas, which we took advantage of & were not disappointed. The nachos were about the perfect portion size for two people to share & tasted delicious. We somehow found room for dessert & had the divine vanilla ice cream with cinnamon tortilla. My daughter & her boyfriend had the cactus sorbet with chocolate which was also exquisite. The restaurant is decorated with some fantastic artwork which I encourage you to check out. Before we left the waiter was kind enough to accommodate taking some pictures in front of their beautifully decorated tree. Overall an amazing experience that I won't hesitate to repeat. Thank you.

We've had a hard time finding authentic Mexican food in Minnesota and this place was probably the best I've had in Minnesota! I will be referring everyone I know for sure! The tamales are amazing

The service is prompt and the environment I enjoyable. If you aren't looking for spicy food, I would recommend this place, for sure. However, I must warn you that the spicy dishes are underwhelming. Specifically, the Salsa A La Salsa house burrito, even when ordered 'extra spicy,' is a severely lacking.

Overall a pretty good restaurant. You get the free chips and salsa and the price is pretty standard. A side order of guacamole is a surprising amount of food!

They have one of the best salsa Verde (green) I have ever tasted. It actually comes with the house tortilla chips. In addition, the vegetarian options here are abundant and the food was great

I had to post 1 * just to leave this review. NO STARS. Obviously the bussers should be running this restaurant. They are the only ones who paid attention to the table. Quite possibly the rudest restaurant service my family has ever experienced. Needless to say we will not return. Avoid at all cost unless you're into this kind of thing or are a fan of the Marquis De Sade.
